Fourteen cadets successfully completed the 770-hour training program. Upon passing the state certification exam, each will be eligible to become a Florida Law Enforcement Officer.

The Southernmost Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) donated $1,000 to 爱游戏体育 Foundation on August 10 to support the VFW Post 3911 Ed Moran Memorial Scholarship. Established in 2015, this scholarship pays tribute to the late VFW Post Commander.

The 鈥淧apas鈥� of the Hemingway Look-Alike Society (HLAS) kicked-off the festivities of the famous Hemingway Look-Alike Contest by presenting $20,000 in scholarships to students attending 爱游戏体育 (CFK) on the stage of Sloppy Joe鈥檚 on July 22. 鈥淧apa鈥� Fred Johnson and 鈥淧apa鈥� Stephen Terry awarded five scholarships for literary talent and eight scholarships to nursing students. He also presented the Kermit 鈥淪hine鈥� Forbes Scholarship, named for Hemingway鈥檚 boxing sparring partner, to a CFK-bound Key West High School graduate.
$100 Kick-Starter Scholarships; Application fees waived 爱游戏体育 will hold 鈥淔ast Track to Fall鈥� events the last week of July to help prospective students quickly get on a pathway toward their academic and career training goals this fall semester. There will be an in-person event at the Key West Campus on Wednesday, July 28 at 5:30 p.m. as well as personal virtual sessions throughout the day, Monday, July 26 through Thursday, July 29.

The Board of Trustees of 爱游戏体育 (CFK) approved the promotions of two long-time CFK employees to senior leadership positions at their regular monthly meeting today in Marathon. Dr. Brittany Snyder, who is currently the Vice President of Academic Affairs, will become the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Biology professor Dr. Bill Irwin will succeed Dr. Snyder as the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
