The Electrical Apprenticeship program prepares individuals for advancement as a residential or commercial electrician. Apprentices are employed full-time (PAID w/raises). Classes are FREE and on-the-job training is completed during the workday. Graduates of the program earn state and national credentials, and are able to sit for the Florida State Licensing exam, positioning them well for a strong career in a growing job market.

Job Outlook:

The median annual wage for electricians was $61,590 in 2023. Employment of electricians is projected to grow eleven percent from 2023 to 2033, faster than the average for all occupations. 

Training & Coursework:

Apprentices are required to work a total of 8,004 hours On-the-Job Training (OJT) and attend 576 supplemental classroom instructional hours. Upon successful completion of the four-year program, the apprentice will receive a four-level certification by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and will be issued a nationally recognized Completion of Apprenticeship certificate by the State of Florida.
